Baptist Health Behavioral Health Unit

Baptist Health selected WEHR Constructors as the CMR to renovate an area of their La Grange campus into an inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. WEHR provided preconstruction and construction services on this 7,500-square-foot expansion. The one-of-a-kind facility will consist of eleven patient rooms, recreational spaces, offices, treatment areas, and more.

To maintain the speed-to-market schedule, WEHR worked internally to identify long lead items from past Behavioral Health projects so the importance of expedited approvals and ordering could be stressed at the early stages of the project. Material that was intentionally tracked includes but is not limited to, anti-ligature doors & hardware, anti-ligature fixtures, seclusion room padding, security glazing, and image panels. WEHR has worked deliberately to maintain the Owner’s budget by helping identify cost savings and allowances during the preconstruction phase.
